Clear booking and hosting practices
How ShamStay handles listings, booking requests, payments, cancellations, personal information, and account review.
Bookings and listings
Only published properties belonging to approved Hosts appear in search. A booking is confirmed only when its recorded status says confirmed; a submitted request alone is not a confirmation.
Pricing and payment
Checkout shows itemized charges and the total in Syrian pounds (SYP). Guests may choose cash at the property or an online method when one is available. ShamStay records payment status and issues the applicable booking documents from the confirmed backend totals.
Cancellation and refunds
The property cancellation policy and current refund estimate are shown before cancellation. Cancelling releases future availability; an online refund is recorded only after the payment provider confirms it.
Privacy
Booking records, Host drafts, exact property locations, identity evidence, financial records, and messages are private account data. Public search exposes approximate areas rather than exact arrival coordinates. Access to Host, Guest, and Admin records is checked by the backend.
Host and property review
A verified Host has passed ShamStay’s recorded identity and Host-application review. Property publication is a separate review and requires a location and real Host-supplied photos. Verification is not a guarantee against every travel risk.

Support cases are recorded for follow-up. ShamStay support is not an emergency service; contact local emergency services when immediate assistance is required.
