How to compare a stay for a family visit

Use the same listing facts whether you are travelling with family or visiting Syria from abroad. Compare capacity, bedrooms, furnishing, amenities, photos, neighbourhood, length of stay, and the terms shown for your dates. ShamStay does not arrange visas, rate neighbourhood safety, or promise that a published stay is free or priced the same on every date.

Who is this comparison for?

It is for a family travelling together, and for someone planning a visit home, who needs a practical way to compare published stays. The audience does not change the facts on a listing.

Start with who is travelling and the dates you hope to use. Then open individual stays. A guide can explain what to read. Only the property page can show the current photos, price, and calendar.

How many guests can stay, and where do they sleep?

Read the guest capacity beside the bedrooms and beds. Capacity is the maximum the listing allows. It does not mean each person has a private room.

Place every adult and child in a named bed before you decide the home is large enough. A sofa in a photo is a bed only when the listing says so. Shared bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances are part of the same check.

What do furnished, photos, and amenities tell you?

Furnished means the stay is supplied with furniture. It does not mean daily cleaning, meals, a full kitchen, or every item in a photograph.

Use photos to see rooms that were pictured, and the amenity list for what the host says guests may use. If cooking, laundry, or internet matters for your visit, look for that item by name. The family checklists explain how to turn a routine into those questions.

How do dates and length of stay change the result?

A published stay is not a vacant stay. Enter your arrival, departure, and guest count on the property page to see whether those nights can be requested.

A nightly price does not mean a one-night stay is allowed. Minimum nights, blocked dates, and existing reservations can change the result. Compare the total shown for the same dates, not two different trip lengths.

How do you compare a neighbourhood?

Compare the published neighbourhood and map with the addresses you will visit most often. A city or area name is a label. It does not set the journey time, the entrance, or a safety rating.

ShamStay does not rank neighbourhoods or describe local conditions beyond the address and map on the property. If the broader choice of area is still open, use the city guide, then return to individual listings.

Where are the booking terms, and when is a request a booking?

The cancellation terms, house rules, arrival window, and total price are on the property page for the dates you enter. A nightly figure is a comparison starting point, not a guaranteed total.

Sending a request does not confirm the stay. The status in your account is the record. Messages and arrival instructions belong to that booking after you send the request.

What does ShamStay not promise?

ShamStay does not provide visa assistance, travel documents, or airport transfers. It does not guarantee safety, availability, or a price before you check that property for your dates.

Host verification means the public listing comes from a host who completed ShamStay's host checks. It does not replace reading the capacity, beds, photos, amenities, and terms yourself.

Which published stays can you compare now?

These published stays currently show at least two bedrooms and space for four guests. That is a starting point for a family or group comparison, not a rating and not proof the home suits your dates.
