Overview

Discover Latakia

Latakia is where many Syrian families head in summer. The city mixes a working port with seafront cafés, beaches and evening walks along the corniche, while the coastal mountains just inland offer pine forests and cooler air.

It is an easy base for the north coast, from the Bronze Age ruins of Ugarit to the mountain villages of Kassab and Slinfah and the Citadel of Salah Ed-Din on its forested ridge.
